Long Island Iced Tea is now illegal in Utah.
It started today. Oh and in the fall you must buy wine coolers, warm in the liquor store.

Holy Fuck!
Utah is like Kansas on steroids.
Kansas is Bruce Banner.
Utah is Bruce Banner when he’s angry.
Buy wine collers warm?!? What, like there is a waiting period on wine coolers? Like you just think you want one but after you have to wait for it to get cold you will come to your senses and go to temple instead?
Ignorant fucktards.
You can’t buy alcohol here before 10am on Sunday. I guess people used to go to Church hammered so they had to pass a law against someone buying alcohol on Sunday morning. As if they couldn’t stock up on Saturday night or go to Church hungover. Can you imagine that? I used to do my weekly shopping on Sunday morning but I couldn’t buy hubby’s beer with all of my other groceries if it was before 10am. Stranger than fiction, I tell ya. If you want a Long Island Iced Tea, you’ll have to visit me! I swear the world is coming to an end!! LOL!!
NO LONG ISLAND TEAS?????
Are you fucking kidding me???? Long Island Teas are my absolute favorite drink EVER!!!! They are DA BOMB!!!! Better than beer, better than wine, better Better BETTER!!!
Oh. maybe that’s why.
Nothing like the fundies to suck all the joy out of life.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Okay, so let me get this straight you can’t get an alcoholic beverage but you can have sex with your 12 year old wife?
Or is that just in texas?
Fiery, I knew this would probably amuse you. Most of us try not to think of Utahs strange liquor laws too hard, it tends to make one’s head explode.
Liquor laws are really strange sometimes. New Jersey was really progressive in many ways (we lived there for a couple years a few years ago): their homeschool laws are awesome, their freeways were logical, they were addressing the drought waaay better than here in AZ…but you could only buy alcohol in state licensed liquor stores that were closed until noon on Sundays. It was a pain having to make special trips to the liquor store every week. BUT most restaurants allowed “BYOB”. ????
Trust me, Utah doesn’t have the corner on stupid liquor laws. I was in Philadelphia last week. While there I walked to the nearby Trader Joe’s to get some food for the next day on the plane. If you’ve ever been to Trader Joe’s you’ll note that they carry an reasonably priced wine collection. But I noticed in Phillly there wasn’t any. I was puzzled by this. Out of curiosity, I asked the check out clerk why they didn’t have wine. She told me that in Pennsylvania that the state (sound familiar) sells hard alcohol and wine at state run stores. But wait, it gets better! She also told me that if you want a beer, you can get a six pack or two at a deli or similar store, but if you want to buy a whole case, you must go to a beer distributor! This is in Philly! So don’t despair, your not alone.
Having said all that, the malt beverage and LIIT law is crazy! I remember back in the late 80’s we’d go to The Sun Bar on Sundays and get plastered on those things! They were like $5 a pitcher or something like that. Hmmmm, perhaps this is why they banned them?
T&A,
THE SUN? I never would have suspected.
I’m just kidding, I used to go there too.
I loved the LIIT’s and the music there, but never got used to going to the restrooms!
Talk about no privacy!
Xaviar, funny ass stuff!!
